چکیده

Background We compared technical and clinical outcomes of transradial (TRA) versus transfemoral (TFA) access for mechanical thrombectomy acute ischemic stroke due to large vessel occlusion in the left anterior cerebral circulation bovine origin. Methods A single‐center retrospective review a prospectively maintained neurointerventional database from volume service tertiary academic center. Procedural metrics, technical, data were collected analyzed patients who underwent presenting with Clinical procedural included average number passes, single first effective pass, rate successful recanalization (thrombolysis infarction score≥2b), 3‐month disability modified Rankin scale scores, time skin puncture microcatheter placement, recanalization. Results Between January 2018 2021, 26 (TRA=13, TFA=13) thrombectomy. The TRA cohort had significantly shorter minutes placement (TRA: 17.0±5.8 TFA: 35.4±20.5; P =0.0001), 34.0±15.6 58.1±34.6; =0.01), total fluoroscopy 13.8±9.4 29.5±18.0; =0.03). score (0–1) was higher group (38.5% 7.69%; =0.06). Conclusions In origin, right permits more direct navigation provides stable platform resulting procedure times faster potential improved functional outcomes.

Transradial retrograde recanalization of totally occluded left anterior descending artery using a single 7 fr guiding catheter.

The retrograde approach for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of chronic total occlusion (CTO) has helped to improve the success rate. It is usually performed through collateral connections that originate from the contralateral coronary artery to the occluded one and by using two arterial accesses and two guiding catheters, most commonly from the femoral approach. A first reported case o...

Mechanical recanalization in ischemic anterior circulation stroke within an 8-hour time window: a real-world experience.

PURPOSE We aimed to assess the safety and effectiveness of mechanical recanalization in patients with ischemic stroke in the anterior circulation within 8 h since symptoms onset and with unknown onset time. We compared time intervals <6 h vs. 6-8 h/unknown onset time, as only limited data are available for a time window beyond 6 h. METHODS Our cohort included 110 consecutive patients (44 male...

Endovascular therapy of 623 patients with anterior circulation stroke.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Endovascular therapy of acute ischemic stroke has been shown to be beneficial for selected patients. The purpose of this study is to determine predictors of outcome in a large cohort of patients treated with intra-arterial thrombolysis, mechanical revascularization techniques, or both. METHODS We prospectively acquired data for 623 patients with acute cerebral infarcts ...

Risk of Dependency Following Microsurgical Clipping in Good Grade Patients with Ruptured Anterior Circulation Aneurysms

Background: It is well known that the majority of good grade (WFNS I and II) patients who undergo microsurgical clipping achieve a favorable outcome, but still a number of patients who are independent before surgery face unfavorable outcomes signifying the impact of microsurgical clipping. The aim of this study was to quantify the risk of dependency in patients who had no previous neurological ...

Outcomes of intravenous thrombolysis in posterior versus anterior circulation stroke.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Intravenous thrombolysis is an approved treatment for anterior (ACS) and posterior (PCS) circulation stroke. However, no randomized controlled trial has investigated safety and efficacy of intravenous thrombolysis according to stroke territory, although PCS is assumed to differ from ACS in many ways. We aimed to compare the safety and clinical outcome of intravenous throm...
